Our scientists in 1st, 2nd and 3rd class took part in an investigation of minibeasts on the school grounds. They had a wonderful sunny day to explore the school grounds. They used pooters to investigate the different insects in our local school community. Ms O' Brien and the children identified locations which different insects preferred, herb garden, under rocks, hedgerows. We are so lucky to have such wonderful school grounds to create a haven for these important garden critters.
The learning continued in the classroom. Each group chose their favourite insect and researched information on the school computers to learn more.
