Galway Atlantaquaria Virtual Tour
On Thursday 17th June, the pupils of Banogue Ns took part in a virtual school tour with Anna from Galway Atlantaquaria We did this as part of our special school events as we could not have our traditional school tour. In preparation for the Zoom, Anna sent us informative videos about a range of themes from Freshwater Habitats to Ocean Connections and Care. June Fun in Banogue NS!
We had a jam-packed June full of fun activities for the pupils. The Covid-19 pandemic meant that we were unable to take part in our annual school tour. To make up for this, the school organised several fun events for our pupils, including Sports Day, Summer Fest, Ice-Cream Van, Seal Sanctuary Ireland Virtual Trip, Galway Aquarium Virtual Trip and a visit from School Fitness Ireland. STEM: Constructing Simple Circuits
4th, 5th and 6th class investigated electricity as part of their STEM work. Through investigation the children were enabled to investigate current electricity by constructing simple circuits. They had to design a circuit using different electrical components including battery, wires, bulb and bulb-holder.
