We have 2 children currently attending Banogue National School and one that has just moved on to secondary school. All 3 of our children love the school. They have made great friends and even in this time of home schooling, they have been able to keep the all-important contact with their classmates and teachers thanks to the hard work and dedication of the teaching staff. The standard of education and nurturing environment within the school are excellent and the children really benefit from the small class sizes and individual attention that every child at Banogue National School gets.

As a parent of a 3rd class pupil I would highly recommend Banogue N.S. to any prospective parents. The teachers are all so professional and approachable , any problem no matter how big or small is dealt with immediately. The school offers an accelerated reading program which is so beneficial to encourage and improve reading skills. The mathletics program is also excellent which my son thoroughly enjoys. Banogue N.S have a large range of facilities and offer a wide range of other programs also. During this pandemic the teachers have gone above and beyond to make sure the students stay up to date with the curriculum with daily zoom classes. The school is always a friendly and safe environment and my son walks into school every day with a smile on his face.

We moved to Banogue 3 years ago and as a parent you obviously have concerns about your children going to a new school. I soon found out that was not going to be an issue with Banogue National School. The principal, Sheila Cagney, went out of her way to not only find out our child's educational needs but took the time to get to know him so she knew where he would feel most comfortable. Banogue National School have a unique combination of amazing teachers and staff that help now, both my sons, to feel safe and secure to learn and express themselves through the many different activities including Music, Art and Theatre. I am especially grateful to all the teachers and staff during these scary times in reassuring our children by organising zoom classes and homework schedules. It makes my children so happy to see them every morning and it gives them some sense of stability in these strange times. For this I'm incredibly grateful.
