The Junior and Senior Infant Class have taken part in the Team Limerick Clean-up Valentines Competition. The whole school have been diligently collecting milk bottle lids for us over the past few weeks. Thank you to everyone who contributed to our collection, especially George who donated an enormous bag of lids! Grandparents Day was celebrated in Banogue NS today. We attended Mass at 10am in the Church in Banogue. Canon Fitzmaurice and Fr. O Brien celebrated the mass. It was attended by all the students and staff in Banogue NS, parents, grandparents and members of the local community. The school sang at at the mass. Refreshments were served in the hall after Mass. Thank you our wonderful Parents Council for the tea and treats in the hall after Mass! .
The Green Schools Committee have been working diligently to ensure that Banogue NS is environmentally friendly. Each day, they monitor waste and recycling, electricity usage and water consumption in the school. They report their findings to each individual class each day. We have three Green Flags at Banogue NS: Litter and Waste, Energy and Water. They are currently working to get our next Green Flag. Keep up the great work Green Schools Committee!
