The students enjoyed making pancakes with Ms O' Sullivan last week. They were measuring, mixing and cooking in the kitchen. Each child got to sample a delicious pancake. Thank you to Ms O' Sullivan for arranging this activity! Check out the video below.

All the students dressed up as their favourite marine theme characters. Everyone made a fantastic effort! We had pirates, mermaids and fish at school on that day. Some children even designed their own t-shirts for the day. Well done to Ms O' Sullivan and the Green schools committee for all their hard work. Maith sibh féin!
On Friday, the school went on a trip with Geoff Hunt. We went pond dipping to Lough Gur. We saw a variety of minibeasts including water beetle, water scorpion, hoglouse, water spider and a ramshorn snail. The Senior Classes found a rare newt! We also saw ducks and swans. The Senior classes took part in a environmental clean up. After the trip, Geoff Hunt returned to the school with us and consolidated what we had learnt. A joint fashion show with Banogue Community Creche will be held in April. We would welcome any support that you can give, such as spot prizes or contacts with local businesses who may offer sponsorship or wish to take out an advertisement in our brochure. The Fashion Show committee is also looking for adult volunteers to model on the night of the show. If you are interested, please let us know at the school.
