The principal and the teachers are always available to meet with parents, but it is necessary to make a prior appointment due to the busy nature of the teaching day.

Mobile Phone Usage

Health Services

Health Services
Regular visits from the Public Doctor/Nurse take place during the school term with the consent of parents/ guardians.
They carry out routine vision and hearing tests.
There is facilitation of referrals to specialists if required e.g. Speech & Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists etc.

School Finance

School Finance
School management recognises the constant monetary pressure on those with young families and at all times does its best to ensure that parents are asked to contribute the minimum amount necessary to provide the best possible service to the families in our school.  A nominal sum is requested to help cover the costs of photocopying, art & crafts, literacy and numeracy programmes.

We have high expectations of behaviour, which we encourage through gradual self-discipline. Our code of behaviour is based on respect and positive reinforcement. There are rewards and sanctions

Healthy Eating Policy

Banogue National School promotes a healthy eating policy. No fizzy drinks, bars, biscuits or crisps are allowed in children’s lunches. Fruit, yogurt, sandwiches, crackers and fruit juices are encouraged. All parents’ co-operation is sought on this matter.
